Like an African water hole in the dry season, this is a gathering place for a great variety of animals, drawn by a common thirst. The Senator Saloon is a true Alaskan Wildlife Refuge, where the age-old struggle for survival in our beautiful and harsh wilderness can be set aside for a time. A warm seat, plentiful food, and good companions give all of us cause to raise a glass to our good fortune to be here in this remarkable time and place.
