Description
Narrative:
In the Arctic, in the long night of winter, there is a special meaning to the lights of home.
Flying north from the settled world, electric lights tracing roads and towns below become sparse, then flutter out in the profound dark of the boreal forest.
For a time, our planet vanishes into the bottom of the night sky.
Then, by degrees, a magical landscape appears. The moon, the stars, and the Northern Lights flash down to mingle with the tundra, snow, and ice. Celestial light fills a world of deep cold air, steaming water, wild animals and wild spirits…best of all, it lights up the eyes of those who share our home.
