5 x 7 Note Card with narrative on the back. In the past this card has been used for wedding announcements.

Narrative:

“One for sorrow, two for joy…” begins an old European rhyme about the portent of seeing big black birds at the start of the day.

In the same way that blending European and Native American patterns into beadwork has come to belong to this place, the raven, which is found nearly everywhere on earth, has become a distinct symbol of the American Northwest.

This is a natural fit. The ancient cultures here revere the raven a a direct link to the Creator, and this connection is felt by all of us who live with ravens through the seasons in the far north.
